Everyone wants healthy, fresh, and blemish-free skin. For each skin type, there are methods and habits that can help it, or, on the contrary, harm it. That's why we need to take care of it, to help it regain its balance. In this article, I've prepared some tips that you can include in your routine if you have oily skin. These can bring you radiance and vitality if you follow them strictly.

What is oily skin?

Oily skin is generally shiny and waxy-looking due to sebaceous glands secreting excess sebum. If you don't cleanse your skin constantly, this can block pores, leading to acne or blackheads. Oily skin is generally genetically inherited, but it can also be caused by stress (which leads to hormonal imbalances), the environment (heat and humidity activate sebum secretion), using unsuitable cosmetic products for your skin, etc.

How to care for oily skin

Pay attention to your diet. Try to include fresh vegetables and fruits in your meals. Green-colored ones will help a lot: cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, green beans, green onions, broccoli, but also tomatoes, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, citrus fruits, or pineapple. These regulate sebum secretion. In addition, you can drink lemon water to eliminate toxins.

Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Exercise regularly. Regardless of the type of movement or exercises chosen, once you sweat, you eliminate toxins from your body through your pores, allowing your skin to breathe. Besides that, pay attention to your sleep hours, and especially the time interval. It is known that the most beneficial sleep interval is between 10 PM and 8 AM. It goes without saying that nowadays we can no longer strictly adhere to the mentioned hours, but it is good to try as much as possible to consider them. Restful sleep helps the body regain its balance and regenerate, and this is primarily visible on the skin's surface.

Use skincare and cosmetics specifically made for your skin

Quality creams for oily skin balance sebum secretion and treat acne. Thermal water hydrates and reduces inflammation. You can use cosmetic wipes to remove oil from the surface, but don't forget to wash your face every day. You can also apply tomato pulp to close pores. Of course, all these methods must be used in moderation; otherwise, overdoing them can irritate your skin.
